The Tourism & Events Coordinator is responsible for co-creating, marketing, and selling tourism products, customer experiences, programs, and services to the tourism industry. The position is also responsible for co-creating programs and customer experiences at Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries (MBLL) establishments, to attract and further partner with community groups MBLL sponsors and supports. The incumbent will work on the team that develops world class customer experiences for specific market segments, including the Tourism segment, to increase customer traffic in all entertainment centres and liquor retail outlets, and to increase program revenue on an annual basis. The Tourism & Events Coordinator will primarily be accountable for revenue generation in the tourism sector and through MBLL’s annual community support partnerships, through outbound sales and marketing, and is responsible for tourism sales, reservations and fulfillment for all tourism offers  as part of the bus tour program.  The incumbent establishes and maintains both tourism and community support related networks and relationships.

Selection Process

Hiring Process

 If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted via phone or email to schedule your interview date and time. One or more interviews will be scheduled with a panel of usually 3-4 people. We typically use competency based and behaviour based questions, plus situational/hypothetical and open-ended questions.

You may be required to complete written tests, presentations, or compatibility testing.

 Transcripts may be required.

 Proof of credentials may be required.
