Liquor Mart Victoria Day Weekend Holiday Hours

Manitoba Liquor Marts will operate with extended hours leading up to the Victoria Day long weekend.

Thursday, May 19, 2016: Most Liquor Marts in Winnipeg will open and close at their regular times, with the exception of select stores which will close at 11:00 p.m. Store hours can be viewed online at www.LiquorMarts.ca/hours.

Friday, May 20, 2016 and Saturday, May 21, 2016: Extended hours continue with all Liquor Marts in Winnipeg opening at 9:00 a.m. and closing at 11:00 p.m. with the exception of the following stores: cityplace, Hargrave & Ellice, Main & Pritchard, and the Airport Liquor Mart Express.

Sunday, May 22, 2016: All Liquor Marts in Winnipeg will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except for cityplace, which will be open from noon to 5:00 p.m.

Victoria Day, Monday, May 23, 2016: All Liquor Marts in Winnipeg will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except for cityplace, which will be closed.

Operating hours for rural Liquor Marts vary by location. To view each store’s full operating hours, please visit www.LiquorMarts.ca/hours.

Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries offices will be closed on Victoria Day, Monday, May 23.

US-made liquor removed from Liquor Mart shelves - March 2025

In response to American tariffs against Canadian exports to the United States, the Province of Manitoba has stopped selling liquor made in the US. We have prepared some photo and video assets for media on this issue, please see below.

Robert Holmberg - Executive Vice President, Liquor & Cannabis Operations

Robert joined Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries in 2013 and is responsible for liquor cannabis operations, including retailing liquor through our Liquor Marts and liquor vendors; strategic liquor development; all logistics for the liquor retail business; as well as our cannabis distribution operations. He works closely with industry partners such as the Manitoba Hotel Association, and Manitoba Restaurant and Foodservices Association.
