Gerry is responsible for the corporation’s annual business performance, daily operations and the achievement of strategic goals. All members of the Executive Management Committee report to him.
Prior to the appointment as Acting President & CEO, Gerry was the Executive Vice President for Gaming & Entertainment with responsibility for Club Regent and McPhillips Station Casinos; Food & Beverage; Casino Entertainment; Shark Club Gaming Centre; province-wide Lottery Products; Video Lottery Network (VLTs); PlayNow.com online gaming; Casino Technical Services; Strategic Gaming Development; and First Nations Gaming.
Over the past 15 years Gerry has held several executive positions in the corporation including Acting President & CEO from June through October 2019. He joined Manitoba Liquor Control Commission in July 2007 as Chief Information Officer, and in January 2011 was appointed Chief Corporate Services Officer, which included Human Resources. Following the merger in 2012 and until December 2016, Gerry was Vice President Facilities, Central Services, Security & Surveillance.
Prior to Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, Gerry worked for over 20 years in the agriculture industry, directing the information technology function and providing project management services for strategic development initiatives, mergers and acquisitions.
Gerry holds a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree from the University of Manitoba, completed the Queen’s School of Business Executive Program and the University of Nevada, Reno Executive Development Program.
