Christine Van Cauwenberghe (Winnipeg) is currently Vice-President, Tax & Estate Planning, with IG Wealth Management. She manages a team of legal and accounting professionals located across Canada.
Christine is a tax and estates lawyer, a Certified Financial Planner, and a Trust and Estate Practitioner. She holds both a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Manitoba. She is also the author of Wealth Planning Strategies for Canadians published annually by Thomson Reuters, currently in its 13th edition. Christine currently serves on the executive of the Board of Directors of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is past Chair of STEP Canada’s Education Committee. She has served on numerous boards in the past, including the University of Manitoba’s Alumni Association, St. Mary’s Academy School Board (Past Chair) and St. Ignatius School Board. Christine’s community involvement includes volunteering with United Way, Winnipeg Harvest and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
