Brenda leads the Human Resources division, which includes Recruitment; Diversity; Total Rewards; Labour Relations; Safety, Health & Wellness; Payroll, Connect Centre; Human Resources Management System; and Organizational Development & Change Management. Prior to taking on this role Brenda was Acting Vice President, Information Technology Services after serving as Director of Organizational Development and Change Management, a position she held since joining Liquor & Lotteries in 2015.
Brenda is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional. She brought to Liquor & Lotteries 25 years of extensive leadership experience at another major Crown corporation in the province, Manitoba Hydro. Her background includes leading large teams, leadership development, conflict management and resolution, and developing and accomplishing strategic plans. Brenda is knowledgeable in a wide range of disciplines including recruitment, diversity, labour relations, training, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and HR systems.
Brenda holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from the University of Manitoba.
