Talent Buyer Wins National Award From Canadian Country Music Association

Manitoba Lotteries congratulates its Senior Entertainment Buyer, Kelly Berehulka, for being named Talent Buyer/Promoter of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA). Berehulka was awarded the honour in front of a packed house of country stars and industry leaders in September at the CCMA Awards in Hamilton.

“Kelly has led our entertainment team in making the Casinos of Winnipeg highly popular venues, among performers as well as their fans,” said Wayne Perfumo, Manitoba Lotteries Vice President of Entertainment and Hospitality. “Kelly is a very positive, hard working professional and highly respected in his industry.”

This is the seventh consecutive nomination for Berehulka in the Talent Buyer/Promoter of the Year category, and his first win. As Senior Entertainment Buyer, he is responsible for bringing top performances to Club Regent Casino and McPhillips Station Casino. Berehulka works with major entertainment agencies across North America.

“It is a great honour to be recognized by my industry peers. It’s hard to describe what it was like to receive this award in front of the biggest names in the industry from across Canada and North America,” said Berehulka. “I’m very proud of the entertainment team at Manitoba Lotteries and their well-earned reputation across the country. It is an honour to work with such great professionals.”

Berehulka has been with Manitoba Lotteries since 1993, leaving briefly to support the 1999 Pan American Games in sponsorship and event management. He is originally from Brandon and graduated from Assiniboine Community College and Brandon University.
