New Sage Creek Liquor Mart Open for Business
Manitoba’s newest full-service Liquor Mart location is now open in the Sage Creek Village in southeast Winnipeg. It is the fifth designated bilingual store, joining the Dominion, St. Vital Square, Southglen and Southdale Liquor Marts in providing service in both official languages.
“Sage Creek is a vibrant community that has seen a tremendous amount of growth in recent years,” said Ron Lemieux, Minister responsible for Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. “We are pleased that the opening of the Sage Creek Liquor Mart will provide area residents with the convenience of being able to shop close to home while ensuring that liquor products are sold in a socially responsible manner.”
Located at 50 Sage Creek Blvd., the Sage Creek Liquor Mart is located in an existing retail centre anchored by a grocery store and other retailers. The new store is 9,000 square feet and carries over 2,145 listings of beers, wines and spirits. Features of the store include modern décor, a tasting bar and chilled products. The friendly, knowledgeable employees at the Sage Creek Liquor Mart can also provide service and product advice in both English and French.
To celebrate the opening of the Sage Creek Liquor Mart, the public is invited to attend a celebratory event taking place on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. In attendance will be the Honourable Ron Lemieux, Erin Selby, MLA for Southdale and Robert Holmberg, VP Liquor Operations, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries.
