Helping Manitoba Prosper

People and communities all across Manitoba benefit from our contribution to the local economy.

Profits Stay in Manitoba

Did you know that all net income from Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries is directed back to the Province of Manitoba to support programs in health, education and many other essential community services that touch our lives each day? In 2013/14 we provided over $562 million for reinvestment into these priority programs.

Quality Career Opportunities

Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries employs thousands of people representing a wide range of backgrounds, skills and experience. We pride ourselves on hiring passionate individuals who contribute to a diverse workplace and represent the vibrant communities we serve.

Winnipeg’s casinos alone employ skilled tradespeople, local performers, food and beverage professionals, equipment technicians, customer service experts and many others across different fields. Our liquor distribution centre employs skilled warehouse operators and is supported by dedicated professional teams like those responsible for product purchasing.  Our knowledgeable Liquor Mart staff ensure the retail experience for our customers is both convenient and socially responsible.

And whether you’re playing your favourite PlayNow.com games, purchasing lottery products, picking up some wine for dinner, or enjoying a spin on a VLT somewhere in the province, our employees are behind the scenes, proud to be of service.

Growing the Economy

We generate thousands of additional direct and indirect jobs in the provincial economy. In rural Manitoba , independent retailers serve their communities  as local liquor vendors.

Our lottery ticket and VLT products are delivered through networks of independent business operators. These products directly support some important business sectors in Manitoba including the retail, hotel, and restaurant industries. These products are also sold through Veterans' organizations and First Nations.

Winnipeg’s casinos, which we own and operate, generate millions of dollars in spin-off economic activity per year for other businesses.
